Point well taken I guess I never looked at the psycers much but that is a lot of differences...

@MIJ ultramarines are pure but not even close to as pure as the Red Scorpions... and don't you forget it..

erm....by any standard of looking at it, you are wrong. Fluff wise, the Ultramarines are the best and brightest of all the marine chapters. Roboute pretty much wrote the book on how to be a space marine. The Red Scorpions founding chapter and the source of their original geneseed is unknown, which is instantly a cause for doubting them. They do have a fanatical belief in their own purity and strive to be as pure as possible. Of course we all know what happened to the last chapter (well, legion) that thought it was perfect dont we. Thats rich given that you have no idea which legion they came from. They could be from anywhere.

High Lord of Terra: "I say, Marneus, do you happen to have any spare Gene-seed around? We were quite hoping to raise another chapter"
Marneus Calgar: "Not really...well we did have some but we were going to throw it out with the rest of the garbage next week."
High Lord of Terra: "Well that will have to do I suppose. Any thoughts as to what we should call them?"
Marneus Calgar: "Whatever, red something or others. Red bugs perhaps?"
High Lord of Terra: "We'll take that into consideration. Thank you Marneus."

And thus another long standing feud was born between the Red Scorpions and the Ultramarines. I look forward to the day that Stu fields his fully painted, highly customized Ultramarine army in defense of their purity against the upstart Red Scorpions. Not only will it be a titanic clash of warriors, but it will be a thrill to see such beautifully painted armies take to the field.

In the meantime, my Minotaurs will be out kicking xenos butt and guarding the Maelstrom.

Hmmm.....
I dont currently have Ultramarines. ;)
Maybe in the future Voss.
In the meantime my Mantis Warriors will be causing havoc in and around the maelstrom until the Imperium learns not to meddle in the affairs of the Astartes.
