I'm with Ystreak on this. It's...ok, I guess. I'm think the underlying issue is that a large part of the Imperial (and by extension, SM) aesthetic is chunky-ass, screw-you aerodynamics, mahoosive chunk of metal style tanks. As soon as the tracks come off you have these warring necessities of "looks like it should fly" and "big, solid and heavy". Very hard to square that circle, unfortunately.

If you're willing to spend more money and put in the effort to convert it, the IG Short Bus can look slightly less dreadful.

Take a hammer and saw to it, put it back together with BIGGER Exhaust pipes and paint it red, it would look just fine!

Kraken: can charge after falling back
Gorgon: reroll 1s to hit for fight phase
jormungandr: always have cover bonus (i'm not sure if i read this right)
hydra: reroll misses against units with less models during fight phase
kronos: reroll 1s to hit for shooting, IF the unit doesnt move
Leviathan: looks to be the same as salamander tactic but i'm not 100% sure

hivefleet gorgon warlord trait: enemy units within 3" of the warlord at the end of the turn take 1 mortal wound each on a 4plus
hivefleet behemoth warlord trait: on 6's to wound he deals an additional damage
hivefleet leviathan warlord trait: after deployment but before start of game, redeploy your warlord
hivefleet kronos stratagem: 2cp, when an enemy psyker attempts to cast a spell, make it use only 1 dice to roll
hivefleet behemoth stratagem: 2cp, choose on unit. roll a d6 for each charging model. for each 6 deal 1 mortal wound to the enemy unit it charged. for monsters its on a roll of 2+

2cp stratagem: choose one unit. at the end of the shooting phase it shoots again. (cannot target monsters)

Plus Carnifexes are going to be all customizable again, with all the different heads and gribblies and whatnot giving different upgrades like they did back in the day.

Most importantly, maybe, each Index army gets a Warlord trait, a Relic, and at least one Stratagem, to start bringing them up in line with codex armies a bit. (The Necron WL trait to take 1 less wound, minimum 1, from all damage, is p'tic'l'ry interestin'.) Lots of Matched Play points changes that I don't care about much, and some new missions which could be cool (although it's not like I'm bored of the current ones yet). Probably won't be a critical purchase for me.
