Genestealers, Noise Marines and a new Warlord

Post by Primarch » Sun Nov 25, 2018 10:30 pm

GW held a big gaming event over the weekend where they previewed some minis that should be heading our way soon. GSC got some new bikes/buggies, Marneus Calgar is now Primareus Calgar, there is an awesome Noise Marine (just one?) and a stonking new Warlord Titan with an improbably large gun. Because everyone needs a specialized siege Titan, right?

Have a look:

I love those GSC models - they have that "could viably be used as semi-generic post-apocalyptic dudes" vibe that the Cults range (plus most of the new Necromunda range) has been doing so well.

Primarius Calgar doesn't really do anything for me, although some chapter-agnostic primaris honor guard would surely be nice.

The siege titan... well, at first I saw the pics and thought, "oh cool, specialized weapons loadouts for Adeptus Titanicus already," and then I realized they made a model for 40K whose gun would probably have a range measured in miles *at scale* and just thought "huh".

The GSC range is pretty nice and those new bikes are a cool addition to it. I can see them being used for a lot of conversions.

Gotta wonder how many of those new titans they're expecting to sell though. :D

Well, I mean, they only need to sell a couple to pay a sculptor's wages for the year.
