Holy Raining on the Eldar, Batman!!!
From the latest 40k FAQ...
"Q: If a transport vehicle is destroyed in the same turn as it
moved flat out what happens to any embarked models? (p70)
A: They are removed as casualties."

This seems to be a case of the FAQ needing an FAQ. Some folks (over at BOLS) seem to think that since turn as defined in the Main rulebook means Player turn NOT game turn this ruling only applies to those situations where you might crash etc in your own turn.
We shall have to wait and see?

That would make sense too. Lets see how this one pans out.

Honestly, my gut instinct (and experience with badly written 40k rules) tells me that they probably did mean "player turn".
This is because, basically, if they did mean "game turn" then they just radically altered the game dynamic. All fast armies are now shit. Its as simple as that. I cant bring myself to believe they would alter the game that much with one line in an FAQ. Its way, waaaay too big of a change. Even GW aint that stupid...are they?

I'd go along with the "If you run into a tree at high speed you're dead" version of it. It seems strange that they would make a MAJOR rules change like that if it applied to the full game turn.

...and, breathe.
ok, found it. For once GW are completely in the clear. All is clearly defined here:
"Whenever a rule uses the word 'turn', both in this rule
book and in the Codexes, it means 'player turn',
otherwise it will clearly state 'game turn'."
from the Rulebook. Page 9, top right paragraph.
phew. had me going for a minute, there...
