I reserve the right to call this The Burninator!

Wait a minute, what? A giant flamethrower?

Sorry, but that's beyond even late-third-reich in it's "stupid idea for a tank"-ness.

this thing looks lame sorry but there is not one thing I can say that will be good about it .... They could have done a better job.. What is up with the big gas tank in the back.. :?: :?: :?: . why does the gun look like they just scaled up a marine flamer... :?: :?: :?: I have just lost a little faith in FW..

Typical British rules-lawyering beardiness. :x

Seriously, though, at least the RL tank has a turret that you can turn to direct the jet of flame.

Also, I've been trying to find an excuse to share this picture for a while. Eh, close enough.

the tank itself is a nice enough model - the malc has always been my favourite imperial tank, and sure, yeah, it just has a flamethrower tacked on the top, but isnt that what they do with all imperial tank variants?

i see no problem with it, other than that as a super heavy its going to have to be more killy than, say, a hellhound or a redeemer, and those are already ridiculously killy. It'll be something daft like TL S7 AP2, apoc flame template or suchlike. The only saving grace (a big one, mind you) is that as a super heavy its apoc only, so the titan behind it is gonna be so much more of a worry.

Well at least someone can just make up rules for stuff and then build a model for it... and have most every one just take it as it comes... no matter what it does I will not be complaining about it's rules... I know how hard it can be to get any productive feed back out of people... ; :?

I think all of GW does that. That's kind of their job really.

I reckon it will be using the Inferno Cannon rules S7 Ap3, 18" range, Hellstorm template.

If you have a big tank of fuel and people are shooting at it, would you really want it right next to you? That design was common on real life flamethrower tanks.
As for the gun. Did you even LOOK at the titan flame thrower. It is also just a scaled up version of Imperial flamers. This is so it is easy to tell what it is just by looking at it. The titan plasma gun looks like a scaled up version of a regular plasma gun. The titan melta cannon has a cover over it, but inside it looks like a scaled up melta gun. What would you expect it to look like?

The Burninator's (Malcador Infernus) rules are now online.
You can read them here.
Basically 270 points for a 2 Structure point Super Heavy with AV 13, 12, 11, a couple of heavy stubbers and an Inferno Cannon. (see my previous post for the stats). You can also upgrade the weapon to become poison 2+ if you are facing lots of T6 or higher creatures.

Oh, and it tends to explode violently when shot at.

rules like that make me want to design a scenario where the burninator has to go from one end of the table to the other, and a force composed entirely of infantry has to try and stop it :D *edit*
