The Road to the Nagoya Hammer (Battle reports)
Battle reports leading up to the Nagoya.
Today the the tecnology of Tau faced the Powers of Chaos
KorO'ruk
our alien allies have proven there usefulness in yet another battle the kroot were the first to eliminate a unit of 4 Chaos marienes they were then charged by a grater deamon and another unit of 5 chaos space marines. They took a large number of casualties but broke off clean an though they could not regroup they were able to shoot the grater deamon to death the also shot down a the leader of these vile barbarians.
Our degmiurge allies were once again key at taking out vehicles. They are every bit as capable of it as our own XV8 armed with fusion blasters. There is very little the enemy could do to stop them.
Our Karman allies were unable to damage inflict any damage to their targets we must review their wepons to usure they are truly equivilant to the plasma rifles used on the XV 8 Crisis and certain veriations of the XV88 brodside. They caused minimal damage to a hoard of deamonic filth in close quarters melee, before falling back to the cadre's mobile base.
In the end they we lost as many units as the enmemy before both sides took broke off combat to regroupe.
Ending transmission.

who were you playing against? And will you be able to use those units (demiurg, karmans) at nagoyahammer?

Assuming by Demiurg Badruck means Battlesuits and by Karmans he means Broadsides, then technically, yes he will be using those units. If he means "home brew rules" then no, he wont.me_in_japan wrote:who were you playing against? And will you be able to use those units (demiurg, karmans) at nagoyahammer?

The eldar are not our allies so they are not on the need to know list.me_in_japan wrote:who were you playing against? And will you be able to use those units (demiurg, karmans) at nagoyahammer?
Our units are all in the Tau codex the models are not the models and it will be clear what everything is. But you can still whing when I win it tournament with Tau.

Re: The Road to the Nagoya Hammer (Battle reports)
yes, all well and good, but if rob colqui turns up at nagoyahammer with an army that isnt 100% tournament legal he's gonna wish he answered dave boyle's question...The eldar are not our allies so they are not on the need to know list.
depends on whether you win it fairly or not. And I was under the impression that nagoyahammer wasnt a tournament, no? I'll be bringing my dark eldar, for their first ever game. Anything short of complete and utter whupping would be fine by me, thanks very much. The day your Tau can beat my craftworld eldar in a competitive game that Ive had fair warning for is the day you can brag about your tau. Until then, stow it.But you can still whing when I win it tournament with Tau.

Do you remember the massive thread about holding a tournament where you positively stated you didnt want one and which ended with me saying there would be one, followed by you announcing immeadiately after Badruck that you would be entering the tournament?me_in_japan wrote:depends on whether you win it fairly or not. I think that it is a tourney and that you are entered.

Re: The Road to the Nagoya Hammer (Battle reports)
well, in all honesty, no, but Id be the first person to admit I have a terrible memoryDo you remember the massive thread about holding a tournament where you positively stated you didnt want one and which ended with me saying there would be one, followed by you announcing immeadiately after Badruck that you would be entering the tournament?
fair enoughski, a tournament it is. However, having put a fair amount of effort into getting my evil pointy ears at least partially done, Im not about to U-turn and use my craftworlders. I still maintain that beating me when Im playing a new army for the first time ever gives away no bragging rights whatsoever. Heck, I havent actually played 40k since November. I'll be lucky if I can remember the turn sequence, much less win a game.
*edit* just took a look at the other thread. Now why in the name of all thats reasonable would I enter a tournament with an army Ive never used before? Sometimes I do the strangest things. Ach well, it'll be a learning experience, I suppose...
