All pics come courtesy of Warseer.

This Raider variant comes with a big Haywire gun. Sounds like fun.

This double width raider is a WIP/Concept. It is not yet confirmed for production.

Maybe less awe inspiring, but FW are producing Astral Claw parts.

And some shoulder pads for Salamanders Tactical marines.

The IG Crassus. Macharius hull with a bunker on the back and mention of an assault ramp. OOOOOOHHHH, SHINY!!!

Special Weapons for the Corsairs.

There MUST be more metal rods inside that thing than resin.

And once again if you missed the Eldar FW thread, though with a wee bit more pose to it.

According to Will Hayes, the only pins in that sprinting Phantom are in the leg; one pinning it to the base and another from the foot through the ankle into the leg.

The reason for that pose, BTW, is to demonstrate the range of motion in the leg joints; the left leg is fully straight, the right is as bent as it will get.

By the way, the "body" comes with the upper arms (shoulder to elbow) and the hands. The forearms are built into the guns

The Corsairs, according to Will Hayes, have Lasblasters, although he's not the guy who writes the rules, so I wouln't necessarily take that as gospel. The special weapons are (in 2nd edition terms) a shuriken cannon, missile launcher, meltagun and flamer, at least that's what they appear to be.

The Shadow Spectres are the only new Aspect in the next IA book, but there is a Phoenix Lord for them. The Space Wolves are represented by Bran Redmaw's great company, and there's a nice bit of artwork of a Wolf Guard terminator - he'll probably end up on the poster. :)

I did overhear him saying to someone else that he would have liked to have made them a bit more wild and individual-looking, but since they were a conversion set for Guardians, you get what you see. I suggested a sprue of heads, but they're supposed to be deployed at high altitude by leaping out of a plane, so that doesn't really make a lot of sense. Mix in some Dark Eldar if you want to "scruff" them up a bit.

In that case, colour me VERY impressed. The whole thing looks so big and fragile, I'm awestruck that they could get it to stay upright and together without nailing all the bits on. :o :o :o Wow.

From Reu666 on Warseer
There was some sweet stuff just some info from what I can remember:

- the phantom titan is being changed slighty from what we saw in the book at the open day. If it stays still the shield gives it a 5+ save if it moves normally it gets a 4+ save and if it turbos it's a 3+ save which i dont think is that efeective for such a big model.(same points as a warlord titan).

- Darren Parwood talked about the thought of a Big barge ship for the DE in light of the new Low density foam model they had on show. (obveously no definates he streesed that it was just ideas he was throwing out there)

- Theres deffinatley more Mk armour coming out i think Mk4 and Mk5 and jump packs (not sure what Mk they come under)

- The next Warhammer Forge book is bretonian Vs. Khemri (in case u didnt know), plans for more chaos dwarf stuff as the sculpters sounded like they where gagging to do more models for them. they were already looking absolutly AMAZING.

From Fraggle on Warseer
Ok as promised here’s my bit from the FW open day. Apologies in advance for the wall of text and if anyone else has covered bits….

IA11 –

Aiming to get it done for Gamesday UK.

SW – Redmaws company – models limited to characters - possibly two versions of Redmaw I’d guess as he turns into a wulfen on a total of less that 5 based on the roll of a D6 and his remaining wounds. May have some company shoulder pads etc but they haven’t started on the models yet. Some very nice new artwork in the book for SW.

Eldar – Aforementioned Phoenix Lord for shadow spectres. Probable rules for ‘special characters’ involved in the story but models unlikely. Some discussion about points and which FOC slot for spectres (HS or FA). Still thoughts about points and weapons etc for other units (as per previous posts)

Wraithseer – Looks even better unpainted in a non static pose. 0-1 choice. Buffing powers for other wraith units as per my previous posts.

Corsairs – List includes solitaire! (apparently its therefore unlikely to make the main codex when that gets redone). Can take a vortex grenade in Apoc. WS8. Sounds like it may be getting a model as well.

Corsair entries are all jetpack troops. Options for nobles and ‘support squad’ (which may all take flamers or meltas). Special and heavy weapons upgrade parts where there as WIP. The ‘insect wings’ look a lot better in person than they did on the photo.

Mentions of a gryninx (spelling?) cat upgrade as wargear for the cosair prince/captain and also a neural shredder.

Able to include DE warriors, venom and raider which is pretty cool.

Apoc templates – the avatar one sounds great. Designed for use with the FW avatar model as kind of a mega-tar. At the start of the game he gets 2D6 wounds. Can then fire his wailing doom using the big apoc pie template but loses D3 wounds on each shot.

Also a seer council of sorts and various FA style corsair formations.

Storyline for IA11 – SPOILERS

Basically centres around a lost elder craftworld (of FWs making) search for the spectres phoenix lord to try and restart the aspect. Imperial forces not really aware of why they are being attacked. Campaign scenarios follow the search for the lord with the outcomes of the games determining if he is found.

Future IA books.

Dark Eldar are being worked on but it seems unlikely that they will be in IA12. By the sounds of it more likely 13. One possibility is that they will revisit the IA11 storyline with the DE trying to obtain the CWE tech that was discovered. Possible elder on elder action? Its all up in the air at the moment so is very subject to change. Most of staff seem to be involved with WH forge stuff.

Other releases – carcharodon transfer sheet and elder transfer sheet were there. The IG troop transport has a capacity of 25 I believe. Astral claws upgrades (shoulder pads etc) looked very good.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten some bits. If there are any specific requests for info please ask!

hoo, ho, hum. Dave thinks deep thoughts...

double-hull raider - very nice. Want one.
Single-hull raider with big gun - less keen.
Dem special weapons for the corsairs look familiar. In fact, Im sure I still have a couple of sprues of them kicking about in my bits box. And aye, I feel a dark eldar head-swap coming on. (but then youve just paid for resin helmeted heads. Mottanai, no?)
Shadow Spectres as FA rather than HS - oooooh! yes please!
wraithseer - not that fussed about the rules, but would very much like it to be in HQ rather than HS.
new phoenix lord - always good :D
solitaire - as new phoenix lord, only more so. :D :D (as long as theres a model for it)
Corsair captain and gyrinx - ooh, yes please.
ability of dark eldar to be part of corsair forces - well aint that just handy for a man who has a whole bunch of craftworld AND dark eldar in his mini collection...

*MiJ wanders off with a doctor evil style mwahahahaha*

*edit*

gasp! I just realised I can probably actually use all my old RT era eldar as they were intended! The dude with the missile launcher! The dude with the lascannon! Oh, happy day!

Missile launcher yes. Lascannon? Perhaps - there was no model with a lascannon-type weapon on display.

After that, all you need are a plasma gun upgrade for Corsairs and you can use that Standard Bearer mini, too. :)

The Forge World Crassus Super Heavy Transport is available to order.
Experimental rules are available.
To be honest its a little bland.
For close to a Land Raider's cost you get a 2 structure point super heavy which can hold 30 models and has 4 heavy bolters. No assault ramps or firepoints, making it a very very slow way of moving troops around but with better armour than the 4 chimeras you could buy for the same price (which go faster, have more guns and carry more models).
