Last Man Standing/King of the Hill

Post by Mike the Pike » Wed Apr 06, 2011 2:06 am

Is everyone still interested in actually doing this?
If so then let's get onto it :!:

I reckon Sunday the 24th might be good, although that isn't cast in stone by any means. However, it is also the same day as the regular Nagoya/Joshin game event. It also depends on Spevna as he kindly offered his school as the official **** measuring arena but his family has just increased by 25% (congrats BTW).

Just in case you forgot or have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, this event is designed to be a FUN/NOT SO SERIOUS event for 40K bragging rights. 4 events were suggested and generally agreed upon. You can check out the details in the appropriate threads but the basic ideas are:

A Superheavy slug out - 800pt limit, expect super heavies and Apoc formations.
King of the Hill - One HQ and one Squad battle in a free for all.
Last Man Standing - One-on-one fights between Uber Characters
Demolition derby - No shooting. Ramming only until everyone else is dead.

You can play in all, some or none of the events. If time permits there could be replays too. Depending on time and enthusiasm we would add other similar events if someone has a good idea.

What say you savages?

@Spev: Is your offer of your school for this event still good mate? If it is, game on! If not, we can either postpone it until a better time or find another venue.

I'm still interested. I need to do a bit of work to get my entries ready though and I still have a lot to do for NagoyaHammer, so I would like to confirm this as soon as possible.

D'oh!
It looks like we will have to put it off until May/June if that's the case. What does everyone else think?

Fair enough then. (Though this WAS scheduled first).

It'll give me time to get stuff ready after NH as my painting schedule is full at the moment.
It'll also give me time to get my Caestus for the demolition derby.
Oh whoops, did I just spoil the suprise? :D

June 18th/19th is good for me.
As before, saturdays are better because I can have some beer as well.

I'll get back to you about June. It gets tricky around then, schedule wise, but I'm keen to be involved :D
