I'm not sure why some minis are pre-assembled and others have a head consisting of 7 different pieces. I think the Other Side minis are generally pre-assembled, but for Malifaux it's pretty rare.

The Explorers and Neverborn starters both came with assemble / printed miniatures but none of the Malifaux burns models have come pre-assembled.

I think for the Botanists at least, it's because the plants are a part of the base/terrain around the figure. Would definitely be confusing to try and put everything an appropriate distance apart, especially when many of the leaves look the same.

On a related note, I'm putting together Vernon and Welles, and I think they take the award away from pewter obliterators for most frustrating model I've ever put together. Assuming I get it together. I took a break... After trying for over an hour to get the big wheel to stick to the body of the wagon, I learned from a friendly person in a Discord server that the wheel doesn't actually connect to the body except by one wire, and you're basically supposed to glue it to the base so it looks appropriate.

Glad to hear at least some of the new models are coming preassembled. I hope it is a trend that continues! Although Burns stuff comes after most of those Explorer models, I am guessing.

Did NOT realize how big the emissary was. He's nearly daemon prince size! So I guess he's supposed to be about 10-12ft tall, like a golem or something.

More previews of upcoming stuff.

Interestingly this keyword already exists. Barbaros (an Outcast versatile) has it.

The boards are saying the Returned keyword is for Lilith's crew.

New round of master inbound at Gencon?

I think their Decay with the burst is their best bit, mainly because it gives Injured +1.
Seems like it'd be good to try and bomb a cluster of enemies at the start of the round so they're all injured and that makes everyone else on your crew's job easier.

Just posting because someone did the math and it's very applicable to Cadmus' web markers.

To make it to the other side of a 50mm severe terrain marker, starting directly on the edge of it and moving through the full diameter of 50mm...
30mm base needs 160mm ~6"
40 needs 180mm ~7"
50 needs 200mm ~8"
