Thank you for the flips. You will be facing the glory of the APEX keyword.Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 11:45 amMe and Balloonacorn's March game:

Re: Malifaux General Chat
Just dumping finicky rules here so everyone knows them. This is stuff that came up from my Cadmus vs. Tom's Forgotten:
- A full HP model that activates near Meredith cannot pass off the healing via We Are Legion.
- Cadmus cannot have a parasited model relent, however you can have a truly friendly Cadmus model relent and then pass off a dmg to a parasited model.
- Cheating doesn't count as "discarding," so I think I pinged a Crooligan with burning or poison from a Spelleater when I wasn't supposed to.
- Tom may already be aware, but I found that if you're ever beyond max hand size after resolving any action you must discard down to max hand size after the current action is resolved. That means if you use Molly's ability that removes a marker within 8" to draw 2 cards, if you get to 7 or 8 cards in hand you must discard, but Molly also gives +1 Distracted to an enemy within 8" when she discards anything, so that's kinda nifty.

Thanks for finding those out. I am glad to hear the first two, especially the relenting part. I don't remember you pinging me when I discarded? But it may have happened when I wasn't focused on something else.Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 9:54 amJust dumping finicky rules here so everyone knows them. I did know about the 6 card rule, which was why I was careful to use a couple of cards for other purposes before I did the gain 2 cards ability. Although I had not thought about using it for Molly to give out distracted!

Re: Malifaux General Chat
Just another rule I just learned. I was looking at Tiri because she looks pretty fun. She's half Explorer's Society and half Outcasts. I was wondering why she could take Explorer's Society versatiles and not Outcast versatiles, but it turns out she can take either, you're just locked into one or the other based on which faction you choose her from on the app. Makes sense balancing-wise I think, to not open double faction masters up to 2x the versatile options.
So weirdly enough, double faction masters CAN take keyword hires of either faction, but must choose one or the other when it comes to versatiles and stick with it.
