Crusade Force Name: Black Cherubs
Crusade Faction: Imperium
The Red Mist slipped smoothly into normal space and began its orbit of the hive world below. She was powerful vessel, and although she was in service before Lord Sanguinius fell, she had never missed a day’s work. Here the Black Cherubs would meet with Inquisitor Calisia. New orders, new proto-equipment, and a renewed purpose to breathe life into her and her crew.
As the inquisitor left the priest's Sanctum, Xavier wondered at the true purpose behind the mission. He knew despite the true, unrevealed intent of the quest, it was an honourable mission. It was good to have purpose in the reckoning. Now he must find the best of the ship to accompany him on this mission. He was ready to go wherever the clues lead, destroy whoever stood in their way until it was in their hands.

February Game Day - Good for the Blood Thirsty
First game we teamed up with the imperial guard to take on a GUO. We came out on top but it was thanks to some good shooting from the IG. It was a good first showing - Blood angels offensive power is not to be underestimated.
Second game was against the world eaters - a tougher match - the speed of the BA allowed them to take the game - most impressively the Vanguard Veterans survived a charge from a terminator squad. Veterans indeed!
The third game was an Assassination - once again the BA speed allowed victory in the first turn. The World Eaters need a Codex update - then it would have been a different story. The lowly Assault Squad - made the kill shot ????
I learned a lot about the BA and especially the synergy of certain units and characters - some changes coming.

The Black Rage is indeed a boon for the BA. 2 of my characters already have Flaw points.
There are a lot of boons in addition to the Black Company benefits but if I any character other than a Capt or Lt succumbs, I only get a Black company LT back.

April Game day was challenging but successful.
The B.C. managed a win over the Tyranids but it was far from easy. Being placed as a defender was not playing into B.A. strengths but going first helped a lot. The nids had some massive double-shooting nightmare with T* and 12? wounds - ugh. The Infiltrators paid for themselves by deigning a lictor space to deep strike in for most of the game.
A few more skills gained and a second flaw point for my Chapter Champion - 2 games, 2 flaws.
My opponent was pure class and I thank him for a great game. I will say it again: I will really fear the nids when they get there new codex.

July was not good for the Blood Angels. The Orks wiped us out... twice.

After re-reading the rules I have realised that I made several major errors putting this Crusade list together including giving my character illegal upgrades. I will be rebooting this army and starting from scratch.

I don't think anyone would mind if you just fixed the errors. Lots of folks get tripped up by upgrades when starting their Crusade.
