Re: Do da stunties get a Magic phase?
Man job you really took this hard... you act like you are the only army out there that has to deal with it... Khorne Daemons are just as hosed man. I have to miss out on the shooting and the magic phase but you do not see me whinging about it... this post was an honest rule question. It could have gone either way it just happened to go well for the armies that steal dice from armies that do not need them.

Vampires can steal 1 dice per turn with their magic item right? It's hardly game breaking. Plus if he rolls high enough on his own magic dice he may not get it since the pool caps at 12. Whilst it is difficult to roll that high, Vamps have a few ways to get extra dice.Admiral-Badruck wrote:Man job you really took this hard... you act like you are the only army out there that has to deal with it... Sorry, man, I don't know what you are talking about. I'm cool as a cucumber here.
By the way, man, what you wrote is the worst consolation I've ever read.
Honestly, I'm not concerned about the extra dice as I'm still likely to shut down his magic phase. It may mean d6 more zombies somewhere. If it were necessary, there is still room to buff my anti-magic defenses further.

I'm not really concerned. I lost no sleep over it and if that is the rule, then I'm not really unhappy. But, as a joke I was just saying it wasn't going to be helping my faction.Primarch wrote:Vampires can steal 1 dice per turn with their magic item right? It's hardly game breaking. Usually, when I talk as a "dwarf" I'm talking in jest. I hope I haven't put on the vibe that I go around all day grumbling, writing down my grudges and making oaths revenge myself.

That comment was aimed at Badruck actually. I figured from your first response that you weren't exactly pulling out your hair and wailing in anguish.job wrote:I'm not really concerned. You need to make you talk more dwarfish, for example;job wrote:I'm not really concerned. I lost no sleep over it and if that is the rule, then I'm not really unhappy. By Grungi I'm not worried about no extra power dice. When I was a beardling, we didn't have all the anvil powers besides lightning bolts. Our cannons would just smash the spellcaster and we'd be done with it. No namby pambying around using a standard and runes of spell breaking with the anvil. No, a runesmith with three runes of spellbreaking was enough. Let the magic come from those weedy spellcasters and their spells will just bounce off our ranks. You beardlings have too many anti-magic items and not enough dwarf grit. You even now have ancestor runes which we never would have brought out. I tell you, you beardlings are softer than a manling merchant. Now go fetch me another pint of Bugman's finest and I'll tell you about the giant goblins we use to have to face not them weedy ones you think are so dangerous.

No.
...
And by Grungi no self-regarding dwarf would utter "namby- pamlee"! Furthermore, don't dare tell a dwarf lord how to use his cannons. I'll show you dead wizard! Talk to koji. He can swear to what a well aimed dwarf iron can do. Oh, and next time I meet your marauders, I'll show you again what dwarf steel does to whelps in leather.
By the Gods of the mountains and earth I've been insulted by a youth who can't shave more then once a week! This calls for a grudge to be written!!!

2 out of five stars there. more like an elf whining over his spilled wine than a true dwarf. And given how long I played dwarfs, I should get the title of old grumbler around here.

"Stars"??? That sounds like 'elf' talk. A pox on your stars. Paint your dwarves and you can try your metal to be a true dwarf.Colonel Voss wrote:2 out of five stars there. more like an elf whining over his spilled wine than a true dwarf.
