^^ Backless in the manner of the outlaws from Mad Max II

I must say that the Ava-Trees are growing on me (pun :P).

For my own Wood Elf project I'll be doing something different in the Treeman stakes (and another :P). But this alternative branch of development ( :P ) does have a certain je ne sais quoi.

Wizardy dude is nice. Treemen...nope. No sir, I don't like em. Too much wrath, not enough tree. As per a lot of GW stuff, too cartoony for my tastes these days. Not that I play woodsies anyway, mind you.

Same here. However, they are still better than the dross that got released for High Elves. Razzum-frazzum bleedin' Pokemon kids toys. :x At least with these guys a better paint scheme might help.

Have to agree. More tree and less razzle dazzle would have been nice.

I think the character is an Eternal Guard lord, who sends the hawk out to fetch the enemies' eyes for him...lovely. :D :?

I need to get one of these ...just for the owl :P

^^ alternate angle

Not to everyone's taste, but there looks to be a lot of mileage in these kits for those of the converting persuasion 8-)

The NagoyaHammer portal anticipates these fellows:

8-)

Impressed by these new units. The long wait of the Wood Elves has been rewarded:

I like those a lot more than the tree-vatar!

Edit -
The guys in green look fairly High Elvish and a fair way better than the current HE spear kit, but why are the dudes in brown carrying Klingon Bat'leths?

The treevatar, I reckon, has potential, but needs a head swap to a more wicca mask kinda thing. The deer, otoh, get a big thumbs up. Verra nice kits indeed. Likewise the boys in brown stand out as nice minis. The Woodsie release gets a cautious approval from MiJ...

*edit* on 2nd thought, the treevatar may be past redemption. Swords and staffs? On a tree? Dats just daft. The big chaos lightning claws look silly, too.
