Re: Warhammer Forge
I'm interested to see where the story goes. According to Rick Priestley at Games day, the storyline of the Warhammer Forge books would be "how CHaos destroys the Warhammer world". The first book has a massive Nurgle horde doing what Archaon failed to do; exterminate Kislev, raze the Empire to the ground and take Altdorf. Karl Franz dies, his son is (briefly) Emperor and at one point the leader of the Halfling Moot gets elected Emperor (possibly because he's the only one left to take the role). There was no mucking about maintaining the status quo - it was all very eschatological.
The Chaos Dwarfs, by the way, weren't getting an army to themselves - they were simply getting an increased role in the Warriors of Chaos army, providing an artillery train - literally.
Not sure how that's all going, now that Rick's away. The story seemed pretty much complete, and of course the miniatures would all be commissioned by that point, but the book itself was still awaiting final layout, so there's scope for them to re-write things once Rick was out the door.
The release schedule for the book was "well, Forge World have got the next Badab War book to do, and the one after that, and then we'll see if there's room in the schedule for this."

So who else had to look up, "eschatological"? C'mon, I know it wasn't just me.AndrewGPaul wrote:I'm interested to see where the story goes. According to Rick Priestley at Games day, the storyline of the Warhammer Forge books would be "how CHaos destroys the Warhammer world".

Sounds like Priestly wanted to put his final mark on the Warhammer World before he went out the door. Leave nothing behind but ashes behind him. Muhahahaha!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Re: Warhammer Forge
yet again Da Beaky Boss manages to pull us off topic...
I really wish they would have made a chaos Dwarves army book... but there must be something that can count as Chaos Dwarves. Warhammer Forge might even bring back Chaos orks... that would be great...

Dwarves? Seriously, that took zero effort whatsoever.Admiral-Badruck wrote:but there must be something that can count as Chaos Dwarves.

Re: Warhammer Forge

Re: Warhammer Forge
Well since NO army book has Dwarves AND Bull Centaurs AND Hobgoblins, I would probably use: You can find the PDF for free here.Admiral-Badruck wrote:yep that was very big of you man... did you come up with that all on your own... but I guess there are not any army books even remotely like them... what would one do for bull Centaurs and Hobb-Goblins?
The thread clearly discussing this book and titled as such has been at the top the the Fantasy Army Lists section since mid-June
