me_in_japan wrote:I like the new CDs very much. The fluff about the infernal guard and their masks is nice, too. I reckon that champion looks quite rackhamy in many ways. Quite mid-nor-ish. I also note that he has sawn off horns. A common character trait in chaos dwarves, perhaps?

the big train reminds me of that thing from Labyrinth that carooms down the corridor and nearly chops whatsername into wee bits. Nice model, though.
Sarah. (Jennifer Connelly), and wasn't that more of a big drill-y thing?

Still, the new Chaos Dwarves do look pretty cool.

I reckon the big hats will still be in there somewhere though - just not with those Infernal Guard. Probably cos even they would draw the line at having stupid big hats melted on to their faces - hard to sleep in, I reckon.

If you look at the driver of that train thingy, his hat's pretty tall...

howdy wiz - ohisashiburi desu!

agreed on the hats, though. FW would have to be mad to get rid of em completely.

re: drilly thing: i know it was a drill. I was thinking more about the crew chappies on the back.

New Empire wizard on big scary dragon.

And some experimental rules

Hmm, Loremaster:Lore of Death, bonus to dispel, killing blow and the ability to reroll any one dice a turn (I guarantee this will be used for avoiding miscasts as she otherwise cant avoid them). That seems pretty good overall. The price tag for the unit is a bit steep, you'll need to be playing games of 2400 and over to fit it in, which is what you'd expect for such a huge beastie, but this wont be seeing play in smaller games. Nice model though.

Warhammer Forge is going to have some new goodies on sale at Games Day UK on September 25th:
The Incarnate Elemental of Beasts, a skull headed, dragon clawed, humanoid monster summoned by Amber Wizards;
Lietpold The Black, a mercenary from the Empire.
You can see both models here.

The Other Dave wrote:Cool stuff!

Part of me does miss the big hats, though.
Very cool. They remind me of the original pre-big hat Chaos Dwarves. (Not to dis big hats)

Liking the elemental of beasts, partly cos its a cool mini, and partly because it infers the imminent arrival of elementals of all the other colours of magic, including (cue evil laugh) Amethyst, i.e. Death :twisted:
