The Glorious dead of Von Drakensberg

Post by jus » Thu Mar 01, 2012 5:19 am

Vampire counts: Introduction and background.

The rain falls in torrents from dark, heavy cloud. No light of day, or warmth of sun breaches the roiling mass, and in the distance, the mournful howl of dire beast echoes across the River Aver. It is a night to be indoors, for who knows what dead horrors lurk beneath crypt and soil, that stir in restless slumber at the footfall of innocent passerbys.

Audible between the rumbles of thunder is the rattle of bone, the clank or ancient armour and the moan of the recently deceased.
And they arise, joining ranks to the beckoning of fell invocations.
All the restless must answer the call.
All Bound to the indomitable will of the Vampire Count!

Jus, I like this a lot. Keep it going. :) It was a good idea to have a fluff campaign.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Gave me the willies! Beautiful bit of prose that! The rhythm is great. The last lines are like the final dramatic drum beats of an epic piece of music.

Gives me inspiration! :D *pats you on the back*
