I was playing a game against Asch the other day, and as we played he told me something new, you can dispel spells that remain in play in your turn using power dice and rolling against their casting value.
If you need reference, the rule can be found on page 36 under "Remains in Play Spells".
I was a little surprised by this as I hadn't seen this done before in a game, so I didn't want this to surprise anyone either in a game. (Of course as a Dwarf player it was a very pleasant surprise and I am grateful to Asch for being such a sport and telling me about this during our game. )

Re: Dispelling with Power dice
Not exactly news, mate
You've been able to do that for a while, a couple of editions at least. The thing is it only affects RIP spells (which there are surprisingly few of) and not spells that last until the casters next magic phase, which it seems there are a lot of.

Mike the spear helped me with that a few times. So we have been playing with it.
