Good software for creating army lists?
Good software for creating army lists?
One of my biggest stumbling blocks with Warhammer are the many rules to keep track of for my orcs.
Does anyone know of any good list building software that is cheap and will provide a space for unit special rules?

I use ArmyBuilder. You do have to pay for it, but I've been using it for a couple of years now and it's served me well. I reckon it's worth the outlay.

If you have a iDevice, Quartermaster is great.
So many games, so little time....

Quartermaster is easy to use and looks great. But I have more and more moved over to battlescribe.
Not as polished as quartermaster but more rules and functions.
iOS, Android and PC versions exist

I love Quartermaster on my iPad/iPhone, but Battlescribe looks like it might do the job on my Mac. Thanks for the tip.

Call me an out of date, backwards thinking luddite, but I still prefer ye olde pencil and paper for army list writing. It keeps my brain in shape and forces me to remember the rules for myself. I'm sure I am in the minority here though, so I'll just go and sit quietly in the corner with my abacus.
If I were to use any of the various pieces of software though, I would probably choose Army Builder, but then I haven't seen the others in use very much.

The main reason to use software is when you are stuck on a train and you get the great plan. How about an all scout space marine list. Just create the list on the phone think a little about it and then through it away 1 h later.Primarch wrote:Call me an out of date, backwards thinking luddite, but I still prefer ye olde pencil and paper for army list writing.
