I was looking at getting some Flesh hounds for my Korney Daemon Army and metal models that suck seem like a waste of money if the VCDWolves are an acceptable alternative model I would like to pick them up... what do you all think?

IMHO Not even close to Flesh Hounds mate. They could pass for Nurgle hounds (which don't exist) but not fleshies. Try searching around at interwebs and see what other alternatives there are.

personally, I think the VC minis reek of undead. As undead wolves, theyre fine. as flesh hounds, not so much. As a fleshhound alternative, how about

http://www.heresyminiatures.com/images/ ... etal_1.jpg (and his mates. Look under "daemons" and you'll find em easily enough.)

or

a very good boss fleshhound

@mike - dammit - beaten to the punch.

and yes, Ive bought a fair amount of Heresy stuff, as have both Spevna and Badruck. Their minis are great. Really easy to paint, oozing personality, and great service. Ive placed maybe 4 or 5 orders with em, and the one time they made a mistake (they put two left daemon wings in instead of a pair) I emailed them and within a day they had sent a replacement, no questions asked. When replacement arrived, enclosed was a written apology. I really cant rate em highly enough. I just wish they did eldar lookalikes...

Fussy Old B****** :D
You can't please some people.
If none of them tickle your fancy then go for the dire wolves. Just remember the golden rule of proxying:

I got to looking at them and after all is said and done I think I can make the GW VCDWolves look like great Flesh hounds... After all my Blood Thirster is a LOTR model... and it looks good so I am sure I can do it... I have to say that the flesh hound has been one model the GW has never gotten right... so I am going to help them.. Say thanks GW...

Er....Bloodthirsters were inspired by the Balrog from LOTR. So it is rather unsuprising that your Balrog looks like a Bloodthirster.

I guess you can always call you new conversions "Not-enough-flesh hounds"?
