I curb stomped you with a softer army than anything Pikey would use.

Plus mono-Khorne daemons were never that broken. It was the 24 magic dice mono-tzeentch builds and mixed armies that were powerful.

Big monsters die when trying to take out a large block of ranked up troops. Big monsters die even faster after being shot by bolt throwers, then trying to take out a large block or ranked up Swordmasters.

Mono(or at least majority) Khorne WAS one of the cheesiest armies last edition.

IMHO Bloodthirsters with certain combos of magic items and Flesh hounds led by Karanak were the equivalent of a good gorgonzola at least. These two units were very much whined about back in the day (i.e. two months ago).

Bloodthirsters, as well as being used as flying terror bombs, could easily wipe out the fighting rank of most units possibly beating their static combat resolution then send the survivors running. Flesh hounds were also capable of devastating second turn frontal charges. Coupled with a herald kitted out with certain magic items, they made whole armies run away before the game even got going. Your only chance was to hope to win the roll for who was going first so you could have enough time to react.

Thanks to the so-called 'stepping up' rule, these unsubtle tactics have gone out the window and now Khorne players have to think up some proper tactics, rather than 'Charge!'

Indeed there will be more thought put in to them... they will crush you just wait and see.
