Age of Sigmar is really good, folks
Had a couple of games online against @devinkilp recently and they've been grand.
Playing it with 40k brain is a good way to lose horribly but paying attention to the scoring system and being choosy about your engagements makes for great tactical play. Our last game went the full five turns and while I expect Devin could have won if he used his full power the close result felt pretty legit.
The game seems to be in a very healthy place!

I definitely want to try it out! I hear nothing but good things about the game, really. I kind of fear (based on my admittedly limited experiences playing the game) that neither my Stormcast nor my Goblins are in a fantastic place, meta-wise, for AoS, but a "new year new army" thing might be something to think about.

It's definitely something I'll get into to eventually and the new Cities of Sigmar being released soon is a perfect excuse.

OK, this is the coldest of cold takes, but everything we're seeing about the Cities of Sigmar redesign is making me think "a 1000-point force of these plucky dudes would be pretty cool, huh?"

Is 30 a good start to a skeletal hoard? I guess I should do the next 30

Thirty is definitely a good first step. Sixty should be very horde-like indeed.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 1:37 pmIs 30 a good start to a skeletal hoard? I guess I should do the next 30

I miss the 'rank and flank' feel though. Really enjoyed Oathmark as a low fantasy option. Interested in onepage rules fantasy too. I have a bunch of beastmen, no idea how they perform or even army structure for AoS.
So many games, so little time....
