@Prim I'm forgetting to add the back story too this game.

Personally I love the background story and the gardening aspect. You are a lowly gardener working in the Emperor of Japan's zen garden. China have just given Japan a Giant Panda as a gift of peace. You have been entrusted with growing and tending to the Emperors garden whilst taking care of the Panda who eats the takenoko shoots.

On this day 2016 I attended a book signing and met Tony Robinson. We talked about Maid Marion and her Merry Men and his role as The Sheriff of Nottingham. He also signed my Black Adder tape! :) A good day today.

You met Baldrick?!?!? Awesome.
I remember that Maid Marion series. It was quite good but needed some of that Ben Elton edgy wit that made Slack Bladder 2, 3 and 4 so fantastic.
Luck you!

I really miss kind of thing, being in the sticks. I met Sir John Kirwan and the SunWolves in Tokyo by accident but I miss in-store appearances and geek-conventions. My brother in law was in a book shop in New Zealand a couple of years ago and passed a portly, heavily bearded older man who looked vaguely familiar. Not being a fan of GoT he didn't recognize George R.R. Martin!

Tony Robinson always struck me as a decent chap. I rather liked Maid Marion, meself. It was a kids show at the end of the day, after all, so probly best that Ben Elton wasn't involved :)

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah it was great meeting him and reading his book. I found out that Maid Marion and her Merry Men was filmed near my home town just over the border in Porlock Somerset. They filmed in the woods close to where Coleridge had his dream and wrote Kubla Khan. It all links!

In other news I started on these guys today.

Frostgrave cultists. Greetings from The Cult of the Purple Hand, Bogenhafen. Unfinished.

I've started working with a palette so I mixed this colour purple. It serves as a base coat but I shall add highlights in a lighter shade later. Makes all the difference. MiJ has been telling me for years about working from a palette. Something I hadn't tried until now. It makes all the difference especially as many of the dry range of Citadel paints are exactly that on opening

Just messing around with colours for these guys. I want to give the regular faces a red Oni mask like in Japanese Noh theatre. Wondering how to achieve that effect.

My Short Wars minis arrived today from the kickstarter. Am in goblin heaven. Superb sculpts and faces. I'm looking forward to putting these guys together.
