Right again. It is Bard of Laketown. Hmmm going to have to think of something more difficult. :)

It is in fact the Great Eagle. So is that the one from the Hobbit?

I was going to write something about that Eagle ! :D but I couldn't remember a name. Was there a name to that Eagle in the Hobbit?

It is the Lord of the eagles, in the Hobbit and then he gets a name in the LOTR Gwaihir, wind lord, swiftest of all eagles. Well done MIJ.

With payday on the horizon I have invested in two rpg systems. One is Cthulhu by Gaslight 3rd edition and the other is The One Ring rpg from Cubicle 7. Released last year.
Set after The Hobbit but before the LOTR this looks set to be very true to the Tolkien. With artwork by John Howe to boot. I'm keen to run this as a one off adventure.

Shire adventure for Halloween event perhaps. I'm thinking a hunt for gollum with the rangers of the North. Around The Old Forest, Bree and Weathertop. Any interest for this please post here or PM me. Good background for the game would be the British indie tribute film to Peter Jackson and Tolkien 'The Hunt for Gollum', http://www.thehuntforgollum.com/
or the appendices of LOTR regarding how Gandalf and Aragorn went searching for Gollum between the setting of the two books.
I'm thinking Halloween weekend. The event this year will either be in Centre Palace again or a Moot at Moyashimarus house for the weekend. Watch this space. :geek:
