Cheers MiJ, always welcome. And yes that's the Scots and Greys Dragoons in the puzzle.
Weeps into cider glass.
I've spent the week enjoying cider from Europe and listening to Belle and Sebastian.

Warning: incoming smugness.

I finally have a hobby room/library. RPGs, boardgames and lots of gaming books.

When you paint your minis and smoke your pipe, think of me in my hall in Meduseld. Cheers.

Also had a couple of games of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. A group fighting fantasy type game. No strict rules but a clear who done it. You have to solve the crime in fewer moves than Holmes. You play as the Baker Street Irregulars. Well worth playing for Christmas.

It looks fantastic, Ash. Very, very impressive - It's a bloody good collection in which the old school classics are strongly represented, and you must be cock-a-hoop to have it in one place. I'm glad to have to stuff I have, but you've got more of the good 'uns than I own.
At least I have Enemy Within (at least, 4 out a 7 bits of it) and some nice CoC. And I have the complete Sorcery books in early editions here (including slipcase Shamutanti Hills/Sorcery Spell book) Also a few nice green spine FFs. I'll try and pick up a few more if the price is right in the UK soon.

Got Palantir Quest in near mint condition on the shelf back home.

@Lovejoy did you know they released the Sorcery! series as an iOS game? I bought them recently and am partway through the cityport at the moment. Brings back fond memories!

Cheers lads. Yeah I'm chuffed that after all the upheavals of leaving Japan and family I've finally got something positive to hold on to at the end of it all. Still tinkering with the shelves and keep unearthing things from the attic to add to the collection. I'm keen as mustard to get some painting in again.

Heroquest!

Just picked up a copy of Bernard Cornwall's Waterloo. Easy to read, his first non fiction.

We got our retro game on with some old classics in honour of Stranger Things.

High adventure in a world of magic and Man Versus Alien in desperate battle.

Also found a game that could bring me out of miniature purchase retirement.

Heroquest was my gateway drug into miniatures gaming. Some real nostalgia there. Space Hulk is a classic too. Some of your Terminators still have the pole on the top, what sorcery did you use to achieve that?

The Batman game looks pretty cool. The models look gorgeous, (though individually a bit pricey) and Batman is easily DC's most interesting character for a skirmish level game like this. So many cool villains to choose from.
The Arkham Asylum terrain set looks absolutely amazing and there are several companies doing nice ranges that capture the feel of Gotham.

Go for it mate! Just don't forget to post pics and reviews of the game in this thread when you are done. :D
