I do like a bit of non-combatant miniature action. When in doubt, read a book and flap yer hat around. That'll sort em out ;)

You seem to have a fair few characterful minis in your collection. Are you planning some vignettes to go with your Torrington set-up?

I like this little vignette. This pair give me flashbacks to A Field in England (a movie I enjoyed, despite it not making much sense in the usual way movies are expected to).
I love the sundial. I want a sundial in my garden, I have decided. I need to make the aforementioned garden first.

Thanks lads. Yes the light is good here now for painting finally.
Yes I'm painting all the fun character minis for ECW before getting stuck into the inevitable grind of rows and rows of batch painted Pikestaffs. :)

I gave Harley a Heath Ledger approach. A bit messy close up but does the job far away. I spent ages getting her skin tone right and then remembered I had to add clown paint.

Varnish is still drying when I took these so it's a bit globular. :)

Painted with citadel paints and local hobby store brushes.
Music painted to NOFX, Rancid and Echobelly.

Nice work, and as you say, it looks good from a distance (that's not a backhanded compliment, btw - you've got good areas of contrast between light and dark and mid tone, and the form of the various parts of the mini is very clear. That's something that's often overlooked in mini painting.) job's a good 'un :)

*ps* Agh! Just noticed the typo in your sig. Ever since I was a kid that one spelling mistake has always given me the twitchy-eye (Michael is my brothers name.)

Cheers MiJ. I shall edit that.
Yeah I may go back and do her face again but at this stage I don't want to make it worse. She was looking pretty sharp before the clown paint.

*sighs in relief* aaaaaaah. Much better :D

Re: painting face again - eh, I wouldn't worry about it. By all means fiddle with it if the mood takes you, but she's fine as-is.

Incidentally, Suicide Squad is on Netflix here now. Is it worth watching, or is it as bad as the reviews claim?
