It has has been a dream of mine to get the perfect mix of Tau and Alien allies... I have been searching for models high and low.. I have yet to find all the models I will add to this army... unlike most of the Hobby logs I would like people to post freely on this thread I am not concerned with chatter. in fact I would like it very much if no post were ever cut for this thread... keep it on topic for the Greater Good.. but post heaps of links and models you would like to see me put in to the force...

I am looking for stand ins for Devilfish and other Tau tanks... as well as models that could be used as Battle suits.. or broadsides, plus any thing that might proxy for Kroot or Fire warriors..

This is a fluffy army so if you could give me ideas for fluff I would be happy to try and add them in...

If the above is true, why do you want to proxy firewarriors and kroot? Surely they are the majority of any Tau army. And if M_i_J gave you some awesome Battlesuits, why do you want to proxy battlesuits?

Ok, that was 2 questions.

for something unique and cool looking Kroot and Fire warriors get boring after the first 20 both for painting and for looking at... don't get me wrong they are great models and the stand-ins will have to be as good or better... I will be doing lots of conversion work to make them all look like a Tau army... but they will not be the cookie cutter Tau army of Tau and Kroot.. at least they will not be when I am done with them... I will start posting pictures as soon as my first stand ins are done..

as for the MIJ BS's they are very good and they will be the command.. the 1-6 Fire warriors requirements will be in place.. and they will be Tau.. there will be other tau units used from time to time but I just do not want an army that looks all the same.. I have Red Scorpions and Orks as well as Daemons that all are GW stock I like my World Eaters all their tanks are custom jobs that really make me enjoy them more than if I just got some normal rhinos and painted them white and blue.. could have done that but I thought it would be lame...

I gave you 9 battlesuits, janai? Why would you need more? You cant make em all command, ya know...(unless you take Ol Shovey, in which case, no alien auxiliaries...)

The mechs are from the Kryomek range (look under the Nexus forces) and are quite reasonable/

The tank is from the Void 1.1 range (look under the Syntha forces)

that is some great stuff man... they make some cool terrain bitz as well...
