Heresy Series - Age of Darkness

Post by Primarch » Wed May 11, 2011 8:15 am

I just finished Age of Darkness today. A collection of short stories set after the Istvaan Dropsite Massacres but before the war on Terra.
As always with a collection like this, there is a lot of good stuff mixed in with some not so good stuff. James Swallow's 'Liar's Due' is one of the weaker stories, and after reading Nick Kyme's 'Forgotten Sons' my record of disliking every story I have read by him remains unbroken. Dan Abnett and Aaron Dembski-Bowden offer two of the best pieces with Little Horus and Savage Weapons respectively. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and I'm looking forward to the next few books except for Promethean Sun which is, being about Salamanders, by Nick Kyme.
