Maybe there is no sinister plot beyond 'clawing back market share and thereby increasing profits.' They are after our cash more than anything else.

I'm just thinking of the big fuss that was made about the rerelease of Space Hulk and the number of times I've actually seen it being played.

Continued support for the specialised games can only be a good thing. Whether that's from gamers or the big bad wolf. Played Blood Bowl and Space Hulk this year and still really enjoy them. If they repackage stuff I won't really need to buy in though because I have those games already.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I always played more specialists games than 40k so if they re-release bfg or revamp bfg or necromunda that would be ace!

If they make some Necro figures that are as cool as the Black Reach Cultists.... I could almost pay GW prices for that.

My guess is Age of Sigmar cleared warehouse shelf space, they have alot of unused IP (unused in the tabletop world anyway) and need to bump profits.
Space Hulk sold out, so they may be looking to do more 'limited editions' of old IP to bump short term profits (as they seem very short-term focused).

If it's not fake or some kind of internal miscommunication that is....

Y'know, as I think about it, I would buy the crap out of a Betrayal at Calth style 30K Epic boxed game...

Just admitting that makes me feel kind of dirty, heh.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Thing with a "Specialist" game is that it get both customers right? New guys go, "Hey, this is a cool game." Old guys go, "I'll strip the figs out for my xyz army." win win.
