The only way I could game over Skype is if my girlfriend was out and that would only be for an hour or so at a time. We have 3 days off this weekend so maybe something is possible. I know nothing about Gamma world or the other thing so if I joined it would have to be as a player. I am interested in GMing for either D and D, Call of Cthulhu or warhammer fantasy roleplay. The 3rd edition for fantasy roleplay uses cards so would need to be played in person but I guess I could run 2nd editon over msn once a week. In fact I'd be happy to try that. I guess Fridays around 5 or 6 or Saturdays. I suppose the time could change week to week depending on when we can all get online.
I'd rather do text based than headsets but I'm open to giving either a go.
I ran Call of Cthulhu last year over msn messenger with some Japanese players and it worked well. Maybe Skype is the way forward.

I usually use this for online dice rolls http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/

That way we can talk using headsets and then when you need to roll just send the link of what you rolled. Copied and pasted to the text message box on msn or skype

Msn was quite good for sending handouts to players.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Glad you are not the DM then :D
And here was me thinking you didnt want to play in my game just because I wouldnt change the game system, change how I played and change when I played just to suit your whims. Hopefully ToD will be happy to run whatever you want after your 'trial run'. ;)

I'll just keep running my 40k RPG without you, so no worries there on my part. :D

Try: http://www.catchyourhare.com/diceroller/
You run a web browser (IE or Firefox) as well as Skype/MSN. Everyone enters the same password into the box on the site. When you need to make a roll everyone can see it in their window. No need for copy/pasting. The site allows 10 different colours of dice in all regular sizes (d4 - d20), and is free and simple to use.
