Meh. i don't mind it, but I've never been overly fond of any Eldar stuff...

Re: Eldar are here.
I don't see how the arms are too small. Too narrow? They're certainly not too short — judging from the left one, if straightened they nearly reach the knees. The perspective of the photo (and curvature of the page) is making the right arm look smaller than it is. I guess you could complain that the lower legs are too long, but I think that's because its "ankle" is actually quite high up, almost like it has hooves instead of feet.me_in_japan wrote: But...the proportions, man. Jeez. The head is too small. The arms are too small. The wings are too small. Alternatively, the torso and legs are too big. Take yer pick. Either way, it looks daft.

Re: Eldar are here.
I gotta say, I like it a lot better than the Tau thing, which has Too Many Greeblies.
Really, though, it's much too early to make a decision based on a not-very-high-res scan of a single picture - modern GW models are dynamic enough that a shot from a single angle is pretty much bound to not do it justice.

Re: Eldar are here.
The arms are too thin for the the torso. You would never see a barrel chested bloke with arms like twigs.
Now obviously that logic doenst apply as it is a machine, but aesthetically speaking the arms should be thicker/more built up, or the torso shouldnt be so full.

What are you talking about TOD? I reserve the right to vent my nerd rage based upon the flimsiest evidence, the most spurious claims and/or the vaguest of rumors. If I choose to write off a model based on a single roughly scanned image then you cant stop me. So there. That's what the interwebs are for!The Other Dave wrote: Really, though, it's much too early to make a decision based on a not-very-high-res scan of a single picture - modern GW models are dynamic enough that a shot from a single angle is pretty much bound to not do it justice.

I'm just a dude who thinks the Stormraven looks much better in person than in any picture GW has ever taken of it, and adjusts his reactions to blurry GW pictures appropriately, heh.

Re: Eldar are here.
I thought GW was going to go the centaur route instead of the easy option. I hope they don't decide to "upgrade" the Scorpions with the new codex, it's one of the few official miniatures I like.

If I ever have the need to use a Wraithknight I'll go for Armored Core or Macross.me_in_japan wrote: Does anybody (and I'm looking at you here, Miguel) know of any Eldar-ish mecha models out there that might be a reasonable proxy?

@TOD: I wonder if those Mantic Draco-chickens look better in the flesh.

Re: Eldar are here.
The Wraithknight better move by itself and have rules to win 2000pts battles by itself as the rumored price is 70 pounds (13.500yen for us) ladies and gentelmen.
