There are rumblings and grumblings around the internet that Wood Elves may not be coming out for some time, BUT that a new plastic Treeman kit has been sighted. Could be a White Dwarf release similar to the VC Terrogheist in the future?

Gosh, I hope so. Wood Elves need something new and shiny. Even though the Tree Man is pretty lethal from the sounds of things, I'm going to leave it out of my initial 2000-point army.

I guess time moves strangely beneath the boughs of Athel Loren, as do the twisted and secret pathways - perhaps a new book was created, but then got lost on its way to the printing press.
Funny, though, the Treeman is not a very popular unit at the moment as his ward save is only 5+ and is negated by magic. Oh, and of course he is 285 points. I do bring him to the table on occasion for the fun of it, though. I am not sure if they will sell many of the new Treemen if they don't make him worth putting on the table.
Anyway, I hope that the WD article will also address some the concerns that the Wood Elves have right now, possibly making some adjustments to unit point costs etc...
