I found this as I was going through the web.
It is either a VERY rough draft of the new 40k rules or someone with a LOT of time on their hands decided to troll everyone.

Having given it a quick scan through (it is 150 pages after all), it looks like a draft copy of the rules. Some typos or rules in the wrong place, no images etc. If it is legit, I still wouldnt take any of it as gospel. After all, rulebooks dont just spring fully formed from the writer's minds. Lots of playtesting, drafting, redrafting, revising or scrapping rules etc must be done before it finally reaches the consumer. It looks like they have some interesting ideas (units which dont move are easier to shoot than units that move very quickly for example). It will be interesting to see what makes it into the final cut. Given that the release date for 6th is this summer, it isnt inconceivable that we are seeing written drafts now. It takes time between sending the manuscript to the printer and getting enough books in stock to satisfy demand when they do release stuff. Any rules for 6th edition should be pretty far along now.

Or, it could still just be a hoax.

Well if GW have, in their infinite wisdom, to remove the file from the site, who am I to disagree with them. With my profound adoration for GW and all that they did for me last year, I certainly wouldn't dream of responding to people sending me a PM about the file and I absolutely wouldn't tell them that I would send a copy to their email address since the PM system on the site doesn't really have the space for sending large files. No sirree I wouldnt do a thing like that to an honourable and deeply respectable company like GW who have only ever cared for me and nurtured my interest in the hobby through these tough economic times.

I hope everyone understands exactly what I mean.

One of the thread to a "leak" of the 6th ed rulebook. It´s a hoax or a disgruntled dev that I cannot say at this time but some of the rules seem interesting to say the least and 5th ed got leaked too.

Weeeeeell mine was pretier because it has people going apepoop over if its a leak or a hoax but I tend to think it might be legit if it was removed 4shared that fast as even the thread was from Warseer people always willing to bow to almighty GW.

No one wants to get sued I guess.

Took a quick look. Could be legit. If so, I do hope they trim it down. Of course it's a fairly rough version, but even so it's even more complicated and intricate than the current edition. Which makes lean towards a geek with too much time on his hands writing his own version for kicks or with some crazy idea of breaking into the game designer market or something. You'd have to be a real veteran gamer to make sense of all that and an extraordinary teacher to explain it all to the 12 year olds down at the hobby center.

I agree that it seems a little bit too complicated, although I'm still not sure if I think it might be genuine or not. A lot of the simple changes made sense. Thought the BS vs. Evasion was actually well thought-out, leaving most things with the same odds but making it easier to hit a carnifex than a speeding jetbike.

The idea of the assault phase before the shooting phase just seems bizarre to me, though. What happened to assault weapons?

I reckon hoax. Lines like

The introductory rules stay valid to the point but all the rules that were marked as advanced rules are now directly incorporated into the rule text. The rules are compiled in a way that makes it easy to find a specific rule during a fervid game.

just don't read like GW wrote em.

Just don't sound like a native speaker wrote them. Something just sounds off, I reckon. It's more than typos - its downright unnatural English. So, I say hoax. I certainly hope it's a hoax, anyway, otherwise the game is set to be bloody incomprehensible...
