Eldar are here.
Eldar are here.
GW continues their crusade to stamp out those dirty rumours that they sell miniatures but those horrible people on the interwebs don't stop posting stuff.

I couldn't be impressed less with the Riptide redux, I guess it's the sign of things to come. Tho I will say that the 8th ed upgrade of Tomb Kings made me send my Tomb Kings back to Spain and leave WHFB for good.

Read the text in the bottom right of the image.
What's that you say? You've been waiting ages for a new codex and now two come along at once! Splendid. Now you can give GW ALL the money you've been squirrelling away.

Re: Eldar are here.
I am waiting for the new Eldar codex as I have a pile of the buggers to paint, and no idea of what kind of army to build.
One thing I do know is that one of those big ugly things will NOT be in any army list I make.
I am not keen on the current trend of big walkers in the game. I have not been impressed with any of them so far.

Re: Eldar are here.
Only if they managed to do something decent with them. A buy our new Eldar codex plus the Eldar codex DLC sounds more like an insult at this point.
Yeah I'm all jaded and cynical

What a crock! Buy the new codex and wait, it's not expensive enough for you, well then we have exactly what you are looking for, an add on that'll cost you as well.
Here's an idea. It's been how many years that 40k has been up and running? And there is probably tons of info in all the eldar craft worlds. Just put out a few codexes for each one like space marines.
Perhaps this is the new trend for GW. Put out one main codex and than supplement for all the armies within. Guess ork players and marines will have the same to look forward to when their codex comes out.

*MiJ breathes a sigh of relief*
Phew! Well, that's a bullet dodged there, then. Must be at least 50, 60 quid I won't need to spend on the new Eldar models. If the rest of em look like that, I may only need to get the codex! Huzzah!

Re: Eldar are here.
So long as they do it for the older 'new' books (Chaos Marines for example), then that's not too bad. If they just do it for the books from Eldar onwards and leave C:CSM as it is, I am sure there will be much nerd-rage spewed forth on the internet.Primarch_Vanguard wrote:Perhaps this is the new trend for GW. I hope that the expansions don't become a necessity for play and are purely optional, until they do, I guess I am cool with it. GW doing everything they can to empty people's wallets is nothing new. If they actually produce something people want, then ok. As I don't play Eldar this release is a month where I can save money. I am sure that when an army I do like comes out I will need megabucks to buy the codex and the seventeen supplements that come with it.
As for the new Wraith-thingie, it looks like other Wraith-thingies I guess. Not a particularly great example by any means, but not especially offensive to the eyes compared to it's Wraith-peers.
