I recommend giving them a read. Simple mechanics that uses abilities/skills to make units different.

40k kill team with bolt actionish rules.

Space hulk

And 4th ed Magic the gathering...

Blood blow will be next on the list....

Ran into this maker. Pirate minis, but they are a bit pricey. Ring Tail also has them in stock.

Hat models makes some 1/72 scale British marine and crew with cannons included. Also the set runs something like 5-6 pounds.
