Warlord have their married zulu warriors up for sale. In the zulu nation, men could only get married once they had washed their spears in the blood of the enemy, which means that the married zulus are the veteran warriors.

They also have some Boers (local settlers) and a couple of mounted officer figures up as well.

The British should be available to order next week.

A little thread-o-mancy here, sorry.

Warlord are offering starter armies for their Anglo-Zulu War range.
The British box contains:
60 plastic multi-pose British Line Infantry
20 plastic Natal Native Contingent (Africans drafted into the army to make up the numbers)
1 metal Empress Miniatures mounted Lieutent-Colonel Pulleine
1 metal Empress Miniatures mounted Lieutenant Melvill
1 metal Empress Miniatures Royal Artillery Gatling Gun and three crew.

The Zulu box contains:
60 plastic multi-pose unmarried Zulu warriors
60 plastic multi-pose married Zulu warriors
1 metal Empress Miniatures mounted InDuna
1 metal Empress Miniatures Zulu runner
1 metal Empress Miniatures Witch Doctor (There is no magic in BP, but it will look good as a command figure)

Both boxes are 60 pounds each, which means that after deducting VAT they are 50 pounds each, with free shipping. :D

If anyone was on the fence about starting this period, (anyone? nope? oh well, just me then), these are a great way to get started. :D It's probably better if we all get out Napoleonic models done first though.
