200 Years ago today...

Post by Mike the Pike » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:46 am

In honour of the 200th Anniversary of the beginning of Napoleon's invasion of Russia, give or take a couple of days, I thought I would reveal what exactly I have been up to while stuck 'rigidly' in my Spevna stance.

Against my better judgement I have just purchased a fully painted Napoleonic Russian Army off Ebay. It cost a bloody fortune but at least I can get into Black Powder right away. I will also be investing in some Froggies at some stage too, but for now.....

Good work sir! May they have many cucumber sandwiches at dawn before them. It's a great game so hats off for getting involved. I'll be happy to have Prussia meet them at a given time in the future.
Good idea to order them prepainted too, lovely paint work.
Now we have France, Britain and Prussian armies on the tables. :P Excellent.

Nice! So how much did that lot set you back?
I'm going to have to get cracking on my second brigade aren't I? :D

Very nice. You know, after all the pain-staking hours of working on my French and still having them unfinished and looking 'rushed', I think you made a great decision to just buy your models painted. ;)

Good looking guys. Long live the Tsar! :D
