Cripes! Yeah it would be good to play as your country. So far I'm Prussia and Prim is Great Britain, we need players for France and Russia too.

Sorry did not mean to say I can as in "I have everything ready to go." It was more meant to be "It would be fun if I had all the models that I need". Don't really have what it takes to start such a project right now. :D
But like said, the idea is interesting.

Looks like GW-Historical is pushing it's own Napoleonic rules.

You can see previews of the book on the site. The influence of Warhammer is pretty obvious in places, but overall it looks ok.

Meh, I think we should stay away from any GW written ruleset, partly on principle- yeah, like we need GW to own any more of the gaming market :? - and partly on experience- considering the slow support and generally broken rules sets GW consistently has written for years, why would we want their rules in a far lower supported system  . I'd say I'd give any number of other game makers a chance and try to stay away from a slipshod rule system GW is actually going to charge for. (Hey! aren't Mordeheim, Gothic and others just free?)

All good points.
GW Historical is a branch of the company I have very little experience with. I have some of their rulebooks (Ancient Battles and Wild West), which are just Warhammer/Warmaster and Lord of the Rings with a different fluff section and new pictures. The points in GW's favour are that the books usually look nice, are easy to get into (most historical stuff is hard work to get started in) and allow for pick-up games rather than straight up historical refights.
However, Black Powder has all of these benefits and ISN'T by GW, at least its not by anyone currently at GW. Plus it allows you to replay more than just Napoleonics. :D Therefore, I wont be picking up the new GW book. :o

Prim when do you reckon we should aim for our battle with Napoleonic. All I've done so far is gaze at the boxes and the nice models. Shall we say November?
