early war escalation
early war escalation
Jumbo shermans? (Check it out!)
If you get Greek I'll revisit my German Gebrigsjager. We could build an army to represent the battles in the Metaxas line and Crete. What do you they in the spring and summer we do an escalation campaign for Infantry aces. Build and paint your force first to 500 points then onto 700 and 900 points. We could probably meet twice over the summer to complete our mini-campaign.
What do you say? It is just a thought to begin my EW and your Allied collections.

Re: early war escalation
An escalation campaign huh? Are you so eager to face the sons of Leonidas? Maybe we can get a few others into this.
Very well, I accept the challenge in true Greek fashion; if you want our weapons, come and get them!
Though I won't be able to start until after nagoyahammer and I might need help getting the models. Right now with moving and other things dealing with my credit card company to order from the UK is just a royal headache for me.

Sure we can start after Nagoyahammer. Until then we can work on our current FOW collections along with painting 40k/Napoleonics.

Re: early war escalation
I was thinking we could play Infantry Aces. The forces escalate from 500-900 points focusing at first on combat and weapons options. I thought this would be a fun way to get into EW and slowly build our companies. We could finish such a campaign and go for more points, but I thought we start by enjoying slowly collecting and building the force while tying in an Infantry Ace campaign.
What do you think?

Re: early war escalation
works for me. haven't read the rules on infantry aces yet so don't know really what I'm getting into. But I guess I'll find out soon enough

If you want we can always run a small game or two with our airborne troops to test the rules out.

Heh, well given that the Greeks manning the Metaxis line held out for only three days, looks like one game a day

Re: early war escalation
Yeah, but if you read about it, they only gave up the line because they were outflanked in other sectors by the Germans. Supposedly the Gebrigsjager troops built a real strong respect for the Greeks defending this line.

What is it with Germans and just going around the sides of defensive lines? Don't they realise how much work was put into those things? Cheaters!
