@ MIJ - Weathering is a good idea, but still... blue.
@ Spevna - Sounds like Warmachine is taking off. Great stuff.

Re: COLOSSALS
I am surprised there is no Mercs yet. I guess a rag tag faction doesn't appeal when u can and them to the other factions.
Shame the elfy dudes' 'jacks aren't a little more cooler. I might have considered them.

Re: COLOSSALS
@Dungeon Lord - sorry to get back to you so late on this. I`ll start another thread about getting started with Cygnar because...
I will eventually post a picture of my Stormwall in this thread.

The Spevna wanted the mercs but the Menoth battle box was to cheap for him to say no.

Re: COLOSSALS
PP is doing a 25 pnt sale on all factions. Mercs look cool enough and I'll add some as time goes on but mainly as support
It's easy to die in the swamp. What's hard is to staying dead.

@ Spevna - Tis a shame about that. Variety in opponents is a good thing.

Re: COLOSSALS
As for Mercs, though all three groups are in one book, Mercs are generally fielded in one of three versions:
1. Rhulic army (Typical Dwarves - slow but hard as nails. They have some very nice warjacks! But they only have two warcasters and a fairly limied number of units/solos).
2. Pirates (Three Warcasters. Their units and warjacks are no bad, but where they really shine is their solos. Each one adds a new synergy/combo with the rest of your force. Some of the combos are very tricky, but surprisingly powerful. They look fun to paint, but maybe not the best army for a beginner to learn with).
3. Mercs - Steelheads (Three Warcasters + Magnus and his little mini-faction). These are your standard Mercs - cavalry, halberdiers, rifle corps, and some solos. Everything is fairly generic but can become deadly with certain Merc casters. Their warjacks are decptively good (Talon and Nomad and Mule, to name a few).
Also, if you want variety, don`t be afraid to go with a Hordes faction. The rules are 90% the same as warmachine (only their use of Fury and the way warbeasts take damage are different than WarMachine). Combat, shooting, spell rules and feats are the same as WarMachine.
