This 1950s sci fi monster movie should be the blueprint for all good Cthulhu rpg scenarios.
An arctic expedition to the North Pole, army officers and scientists, a plucky dame and a goofy journalist find an alien body in the ice. They squabble amongst themselves until finally the thing wakes up. It is neither animal or human. It is supposedly plant life in it's make up.
You don't see the thing for ages and the tension is mounting but when it makes an entrance man does it make an entrance. Classic Sci fi horror, after watching this I realized where the film Alien got a lot of it's ideas and pace.
Anyway, check it out, great scene.

Yeah that was a good one too. A bit scarier perhaps.
