Warhammer fantasy Roleplay

Post by ashmie » Mon Apr 04, 2011 10:49 pm

I'd like to run a mini campaign for new players in April.
It will be held on a Saturday or Sunday when people are free either in Yokkaichi or Tsu.
Mus was interested but is busy with family right now but if he or anyone else would like to play the start of a mini campaign for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st edition please add your name below.
Jus I know you were interested before, we didn't get time to run this at the rpg festival.

Cheers all.

Mate, I can always find one sunday for gaming, no worries there :)

You keen to run it once a month, once a week or what? If it is once a month it should be no problem hosting it in Yokkaichi.

sounds great! I'd like to join in, but saturdays would be much preferable for me, and Yokkaichi would be a good place. Sundays would have been good if I didn't have to work the next day

Sounds good. Once a month I suppose would be best.

We could have a battle in the morning and then some warhammer fantasy roleplay after lunch.

I think Sunday is the best for Yokkaichi because Mus works on Saturday. Come on Jus you can make it. Who cares about work. :D

What date is good for everyone in April?

I can do Sunday the 10th, 17th or 24th, with a preference for the 10th or 24th, please. I know nothing about the rules, but a fair bit about the world. Should I be looking for a rulebook online to get myself up to speed, or is my imagination all I'll need?

When you say "battle" in the morning, are we talking 40k, fantasy, or what? If its fantasy, Mus, would you be up for some 40k? My Evil Pointy Ears need a practice before NagHammer. Small points is fine. Its not like I know what the hell im doing with em anyway...

Yes, 24th is possible for me I reckon. We could play either fantasy or rogue trader 40k in the morning and then after lunch some warhammer fantasy roleplay. I'll be running an amalgamation of 1st and 2nd edition.
No MIJ you don't need to download anything. It runs on a similar set of rules to Call of Cthulhu. I can burn you a copy of the 2nd edition rules if you like. I'll add it to the dropbox we set up.

Ok, you talked me into it, you fiend! I'd will have to leave at about 6 or so.

@mus: I know we've talked about this before, is there any other way to get to yokkaichi/Mie, besides taking bus to tushima station, then taking the train to Saya, then changing lines to take the train to Yatomi, switching to JR to get yokkachi. It really doesn't sound very long and if you look on google map, it really isn't all that far infact. Its just the wretched waiting that kills me. Waiting an hour at Saya, and then another hour yatomi and then 30minute for a bus home.

One time I missed the bus home, and had to walk for 2 hours...in the snow. There has to be a better way ugh  herupu miii

Jus if you take the kintetsu train from Nagoya station to Yokkaichi it will take you about 30 to 40 minutes.
Maybe ltd express for super fast or express for a bit longer and about 700 yen.

@Jus - how about this?

http://www.hyperdia.com/en/cgi/en/searc ... m_target=7

It says you can take a train from Tsushima at 8:01 and be in Yokkaichi by 8:49, costing you 680 yen.

I find Hyperdia to be ace, and very reliable.

Is Tsushima your nearest station? If not, what is?
