In reference to the questions above.

WYSIWYG
Models don't need to be 100% WYSIWYG, but you should give your opponent a complete rundown of what the models are equipped with if it isn't immediately obvious. Go out of your way to make it as clear as possible and avoid mixed gear in units. E.g. having 10 boyz armed with sluggas and 10 with shootas but using the same models for both.
In the event of any debate about minis and proxying you should bear in mind that the tournament organiser (ie me) prefers minis to be modelled with the correct gear wherever possible. So proxies are allowed, but the onus is on the user to make sure that they don't become an issue.

WARLORD TRAITS
Let's leave the house rules at home eh? It adds another level of complexity when you try to balance things out for some characters. E.g. Azreal of the DA can choose his WT from the DA book. Other characters have a fixed WT. Some are of absolutely no use for any given army whilst others can be pretty good. Players may feel a bit upset if they roll badly before the games even begin. Neither of the ideas is a bad one, but let's err on the side of simple.

Any more burning questions?

NO WARLORD TRAITS?
Some guys pay lots of points for there warlord trait.
You are saying Skarbrand loses his instant death ability which makes him Suck.
killing warlord traits is killing stuff out of 6th edition.
Are you going to ban flyers next?
maybe physic powers they are so broken.
when you start cutting items out of the rule book and codex's you are playing house rules.
so what you say is lets play house rules and cut warlord traits.

cutting warlord traits is bad.

Thats not actually what I said at all, but er... thanks for the input.

To clarify things:

M_i_J - Can we use a house rule for Warlord Traits?
Prim - No.

As you can see, no mention was made about removing WTs altogether.

It's good to know that people have an opinion though.

I can't see why you wouldn't want to, but timing and availability will be taken into consideration. I'm not going to force people to camp outside a GW store overnight to guarantee getting a copy in time. Ideally the latest Tau codex should be used if you have a copy though.

As long as I can get my hands on a new Tau codex before then, and assuming that I can still make a list with the models I have (which looks quite likely) or only a couple of new things, then I will be happy to upgrade!

Augh! I think I'll be camped out side the Tokyo GW store, just to keep Underdweller out! Or better, stage a daring heist. Anyone want to help? Think guys. You know markerlights will be like, "Unit may make overwatch shots at normal BS." and "Gives unit skyfire." "Cancels cover saves."
god, I hope I'm joking. My PTSD from fighting Tau in 4th edition is coming back.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
