What are you talking about Willis?
It took me 5 minutes just to figure out that the small lump of something in the middle of the figure's chest was in fact meant to be his head. :D :D :D
IMHO Those Ork characters look a lot like Chaos Warriors.

Yeah the prices are good.
I think the style comes down to a matter of taste. The zombies and skeletons look ok, but personally I am not that keen on anything else they've done including their orcs. That isnt to say that all orcs need to look like GW's, just that I dont like Mantic's.

That banner bearer and boar rider are very well made in my opinion. The rest of the range is not though.

I have seen some stuff I really like on Mantic's site. But for every good sculpt I see, I find something that is either average or not that great.

Style is obviously a consideration as whatever floats my boat might not float yours. I quite like their skellies, their orc characters, some of their dwarves, and some of the chaos dwarves. The elves don't do much for me.

On the whole though, GW's level of sculpting is in a different league. Is that enough to warrant the huge price difference? Well, that's for another thread.

I've looked at their SF concepts. Admittedly they were leaked by Beasts of War when they shouldn't have been, and they're a bit rough, but there's some dreadful rubbish in there. :) That "paraplegic lion" vehicle idea is ... no.

Maybe over there. I've not seen a Zoid for sale in the UK in over twenty years.

Well, maybe not cheap proxies in that case.
And in all fairness to the Mantic guys, those were pretty rough sketches. Obviously stuff thats only at the preliminary musing stage.
