Secrets of the Third Reich
Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
Sounds like a nice straightforward rules set. I also like that it doesnt restrict you to any particular brand or make of miniatures.
I look forward to getting a game in.

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
Maybe people have come across these? These are the correct scale for 28mm - a WWII game called Bolt Action which Warlord games sell.

A bit on the pricey side, but the range is growing all the time with German and Allied vehicles and lots of 28mm WWII minis. Bolt Action looks like an interesting skirmish game.
I'd love to give Blackpowder a try too one day. I can see myself drifting towards historicals if I could find other interested parties.

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
There was a thread about them on the SotTR pages. Basically, the figures are true 28mm scale, which makes them look a bit small compared to regular 28mm scale. If you put the tanks on bases they look better though.Lovejoy wrote:Maybe people have come across these? The prices are really off putting when you consider a Tamiya 1/48 scale tank is about 1500 yen.

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
I just got my Sniper boxed set today. Advertised as everything you need to play the sniper mission from the core rulebook, it contains 2 German snipers and 12 US infantry. What it doesnt include is a quick start rule book or anything like that.
The models are all pretty reasonable metal sculpts. They're not as pretty as some of the GW/PP/Malifaux stuff, but they'll do the job. The only problem I have found so far is that the tabs on their feet are too deep for the slotta bases (they are very wobbly) so I have had to trim the tabs down a little.

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
I like the idea of having an army of Uber Nazi soldiers BUT I also like the idea of playing the Polish. Is that an option in the rules?

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
There is no specific faction for the Polish I believe. All the models are either US, Brits, Krauts or Ruskies. I guess you could use either Brits and/or Russians if you wanted to.Spevna wrote:I like the idea of having an army of Uber Nazi soldiers BUT I also like the idea of playing the Polish. Re: Secrets of the Third Reich
Someone of the SoTR forum has posted their own rules for the Polish, but you need either the British or the Russian rules to go with them and make sense of them.Spevna wrote:I like the idea of having an army of Uber Nazi soldiers BUT I also like the idea of playing the Polish. I finished putting together my US infantry and my German troops should be here soon.
