Maybe in Africa? I'm pretty sure that the Germans had soldiers in North Africa during the war. It wouldn't have been impossible to send a couple of trucks south and round up a few.
Alternatively, from a zoo?

The Germans would have had a ready supply of Gorillas from Vichy French ad Occupied Belgian Colonies in Equatorial Africa. The problem would have been transporting them back to Germany, past the Royal navy's blockade :D

Just pre-ordered it, along with a bunch more Dust Tactics models and expansions from Maelstrom thanks to their 20% discount offer.

I think it was a super-fun game, when I played that match. I like the models, too. But currently I can't find room for them between Fantasy, FOW and Cutlass. You might even notice how 40k isn't making the cut currently. : P

I have to admit, Dust Warfare piques my interest more than Dust Tactics does, and the models are pretty sweet...

...but I already got burned by one Paolo Parente-designed wargame.

Thats true. Luckily I have enough models for 2 small forces to begin with and there are more on the way. Rackham had issues of their own to deal with whilst FFG seems to be doing well. Only time will tell I guess.

I'm not sure if this is new, but they've posted the official rulebook on the fantasy flight webpage:
