Well, I have had a read of my rulebook now.
Second impressions: They DEFINITELY need better artists. Plus an editor and a proof reader to check for mistakes.
Beyond the odd sentence which reads like it was written by a reknowned Ork naval officer, the game seems pretty solid. Basically all non-vehicle units are exactly the same and operate the same way. You dont have different profiles for orks or guard or tau. In fact, there are no profiles. To differentiate between unit types, their wargear and special rules make the difference. Armour determines how hard it is to wound someone, weapons determine modifiers to hit, special rules determine movement and other bonuses.
For example, a standard german trooper is identical to a standard british trooper. If the german trooper has a rifle and the british trooper has a sub machine gun, the german can fire from further away, but the brit will get more shots at a short range.
Essentially you dont need to add the Wierd part to the game. You can play a 28mm historical WW2 game using this rule set and rules for all the major fighting vehicles of the era are included. Werewolves, zombies, werebears (russians), Captain America wannabes and mecha are all optional.
Hopefully other people will show an interest in picking up a force and I can get a game of this in soon .
