Hey look, someone made a mod for Dawn of War!
It's not exactly groundbreaking, but it looks ok.

I heard the first rumours of this about a year ago. I've not watched this video all the way through - is there an actual game there, or just video?

Just video, and it looks fairly lackluster at that. Early stages, of course, but I'm not holding my breath for anything groundbreaking.AndrewGPaul wrote:I heard the first rumours of this about a year ago. is it an MMORPG or what? Regardless, it looks like it could use some work in the animation department. Woudlda been fine 5 years ago on a PS2, but now...
It's the same company that made Blood Bowl, btw, and I notice they also have the rights to A Game of Thrones. Looks like theyre good at snapping up potentially fantastic IPs and then screwing it right up

I actually liked the not-Bloodbowl game they made a while back called Chaos League. BB didn't translate well from a board game, but Chaos League played much better as they had more freedom. The commentators were funnier too.me_in_japan wrote:is it an MMORPG or what? Regardless, it looks like it could use some work in the animation department. I actually like Blood Bowl all right - mostly because it is just a 100% faithful adaptation of the tabletop rules. The AI is kind of poo, but then I like being able to curbstomp computer opponents in my gaming, heh. I haven't tried playing with real people online, but apparently it supports that.
