I found this game a couple years back where it was like Cthulhumon or something, where they were all pokeymen-like lovecraft-esque creatures being kept in shiny dodecahedrons. It looked like a lot of fun. I still want to give that a shot one day.

anyway, back on topic!

I have lots of pokeymans waiting to be shown and traded. Luckily you can do all this fun stuff over wi-fi and over the internetz!! Throw your pokeymen at me through a series of tubes!!!

I brought up the prospect of a Pokemon:Tabletop Adventures game the session after I decided I wanted to do Evangelion. No one was even remotely interested, which is a shame. There are a lot of good games I'd heard from 4chan that I want to try out, chief among them PTA and MaidRPG. I wish we had longer sessions and more availability.

Those are 4th generation and compatible with Platinum, Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Yeah, I don't see why they're incompatible. Trying them out =/= new campaigns. And even though I DO want more campaigns, I still want longer sessions.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, as I usually just hack anything I want/need! I'd been giving out shiny Arceus like he was candy to my students before he even came out, to tell the truth. I'll look for my DS and see what I've got! Anything YOU want?

Well, I'm usually against hacking, but if you're giving Arceus away, I might have to ask for one! As long as I'm not the one hacking... haha

I don't have the time or patience or whatever it takes to take advantage of the events and pokemon store stuff and all the crap it takes to get the real rares and whatnot, so I guess hacking is the only way I can get a hold of some of them..

My nephew (American) was a Pokemon fan a few years back. We had a long discussion about it
Me "So why do the Pokemon fight."
Neph "Because the trainers are thier friends."
Me "So thier friends trap them in little globes.
Neph "They ain't trapped! They let them out sometimes."
Me "To compete in gladitorial combat?"
Neph "No, not always!"
Me "To fight some other school yard bully trainer's monsters?"
Neph "No, no, not like that!"
Me "If I were Pikachyu, I think I would start frying me some trainers. What a bunch of little twerps."
I think he has moved on to Naruto cards now.
(And I play the card game with my son everynow and again. But we have more fun making our own cards.)
