If you are interested in galactic empire building, trade, politics, and warfare, this is the game for you. If anyone is interested in giving it a try, let me know. Three players are the minimum, but 4 or 5 is better.

What -IS- it? A board game? Video game? Miniatures game? Info would be interested, as I'm into everything you just mentioned.

Wow! Nice to see some interest! It is a Fantasy Flight Game. Basically it's an intergalactic trading/political/combat game. Each player take a unique race with various abilities and vie for the vacant Imperial Throne. The game is won through scoring victory points. Each point has requirements that must be fulfilled in order to claim it, these are public and all players may claim them. Additionally, each player has a secret agenda the can claim for points.

The board is constructed from random tiles which are dealt out to the players, who then take turns placing them in order to construct the map.

Overall, it's a good game, but a long one. and it take up a lot of space.

If anyone would really like to give a try, I can arrange to rent a room cheaply someday in Kariya. to get the most from it, you really need to dedicate an entire gaming session to it. :ugeek:

Both myself and Grim Fandango would love to get in a game of TI. Grim has played before and is always raving about it. If you have a copy I would love to give it a shot.

Awesome! Then I'll see about getting a place to play. How about sometime here in July? It looks like we might be able to gather 4 players for a game. I think this would be perfect for new players. Let me know what dates suits you and I'll take it from there.

What! Seriously? Well, what the hell is it, aside from a board game? What's the story and premise?
