Regarding the Color/Colour me interested...Bizarre....I think I might have read ToD's post, subconsciously stored the phrase and regurgitated it like a cat hacking up furballs, although I wasn't aware of it...

Agreed, Hail Mike is a regretable name. Such appalling, unfettered arrogance! Might I suggest that Battlemallet or Conflictbludgeon more convincingly conjure the spirit of the dead game.

OK. Let's just call "Hail Michael!" a temporary thing. I'll consider changing it for version 1.2, once all the suggestions etc are posted, discussed and agreed upon.

Maybe

Mike the Pike wrote:I made HM, because the thing I like seeing the most in WFB is lots of troops on the board, bashing each other's brains out. I loved the characters, magic system and items too but thought that the game relied on what sort of killer combo you could make from them rather than focusing on the men/elves/goes/orcs/gob is in the midst of the melee.
This is actually what I like about the idea too (but then again, I do play Goblins).

Speaking of, about the earlier comment about low-cost armies (like mine) not having the "right" number of models on the board, I don't really think it's that big a deal. In practice, I never really had *that* many more units than my opponents in WFB since they were pretty big, and Fanatics and such brought the points up. I'd be perfectly happy playing some games with the rules as written and see how they work before worrying about that sort of thing.

As for names:

Hail Pikey?

Mikehammer?

Although I do have to admit ConflictBludgeon has a certain ring, heh.
Feel free to call me Dave!

I'm getting 'Hail Michael' V1.2 ready at the moment.

It's probably time we settled on a decent name, so I'm taking suggestions. I'll put them to a non-binding referendum over the weekend (no-one will be forced to leave if they lose) if we get enough ideas. And NO I will not be considering 'Warhammer: Brexit' or 'Boaty McBoatface'
So far we have...
